By keeping the organic matter (waste) oxygenated, keeps naturally occurring bacteria alive, called Aerobic Bacteria. 2) AnaerobicDefinition: Anaerobic or "septic" means without air or oxygen. The process relies on the decaying of organic matter through bacteria that do not require oxygen, called Anaerobic Bacteria.
