Ozzi Plants to the rescue23-Mar-2011Cairns Post The Ozzi Kleen wastewater treatment plant is a system that caters for wastewater treatment and recycling for homes not connected to the sewer. On a larger scale it is used by mining giants such as Santos. Suncoast Waste Water Management marketing manager Kylie Humberstone said in the past few years the demand for quality controlled reliable products had taken Ozzi Kleen systems to remote locations in the Pacific, South-East Asia and across the Indian Ocean to Dubai. “Just recently in the aftermath of cyclone Yasi, two Ozzi Kleen SK20 wastewater treatment plants were shipped in to take the pressure off the municipal treatment plant at Tully,” she said. “This was made possible thanks to Santos which regularly receives supplies from Suncoast Wastewater Management of these skid-mounted sewerage system for mining camp applications. “These systems were brought in from the Santos coal seam gas mine near Roma to the Tully Showground to treat the wastewater from homes that are housing 37 Ergon Energy workers in the region.” Ms Humberstone said the innovative lightweight single tank poly design and non-septic treatment process had kept the company in front of concrete tank alternatives in difficult economic times. She said the company, owned by Mal and Sandra Close, was looking to expand in the Far North and were taking expressions of interest from anyone interested in expanding their own business to include Ozzi Kleen wastewater treatment plant servicing and sales. |
